As the summer excitement surrounding the med has slowed down Q&K have moved from France to set up a winter office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since many of our clients move from Europe to the Caribbean we are excited to announce our new location and meet with many of our friends and clients at the world largest boat show- Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). Following the show we have numerous shoots confirming between Florida and Bahamas. If we don’t see you at the show we can be reached on our US numbers.

One of the largest perks to why we love doing what do, is not just the immense joy we get from shooting some of the worlds most beautiful yachts or visiting some of the most stunning locations but working with those individuals who make our jobs possible; the captain and his crew! Recently we have had the great pleasure of shooting a 66 meter motor yacht, Dream. Having picked up with the yacht in Staniel Cay in the Bahamas we then ventured up the Bahamian chain shooting amongst untouched beaches and remote islands. Despite mother nature throwing a few scattered storms our way the team onboard Dream adjusted to changes made to the shoot schedule with ease and professionalism. The Captain, Will Kaye and his crew were a pleasure to work with accommodating our needs and going far and above the call of duty. We wish this stunning yacht all the best and look forward to seeing them again at the Antigua Charter Show.
This has been one of the best experiences of our lives. The three day event which is the Dubois Cup had everything, excellent sailing, great people, glamorous parties, stunning yachts and all against the backdrop of Porto Cervo in Sardinia. Q&K are incredibly thankful to everyone involved including the great team of Carlo Bolenghi, Rick Tomlinson, Roddy Grimes and especially the team from Dubois, Ed, Roxanne and Catherine. We can only dream of how amazing 2015 will be with even more Dubois designs. Look for the film coming soon, in the meantime enjoy these images.
Recently Quin returned from Montenegro where he was shooting the charter yacht Jo. Though the weather was scattered rain showers and overcast sky the crew put forth an exceptional effort in order to make the shoot a success. Many of the shots Quin took would not have been possible without the teams collaborative assistance and attention to detail. Special thanks to the captain and crew of M/Y Jo for all your hard work and flexibility. We wish you a great charter season and hope to see you soon.
To recap the last few months things have been very exciting at Q&K. Lots of exciting shoots and events that have had us on the move since the start of the year.
In January Kim was in the sun for the Antigua Superyacht Challenge while Quin went to snowy northern Denmark to shoot the newest Infiniti Yacht whilst it was still in the yard.
February’s – Miami Boat Show quickly approached after that, and it was great to catch up with friends and clients who we had not seen in a while.
In March we made a pass through the UK on our way to one of our favorite destinations, Palma! The backdrops of the Balearic Islands are incredible; it’s a real treat to shoot there. Following that shoot was the St. Barths Bucket which showcased five J Class racing in one start, such a spectacle.
April has now passed at the blink of an eye, with trips to Denmark for a launching of a new yacht then we covered the Antibes Yacht Show before heading to the Bahamas to work with an incredible team on a charter shoot. Following the Bahamas and still a bit jet lagged we were excited to head back to Palma and launch our third website (InfinitiYachts.com) in conjunction with Infiniti Yachts announcing their largest build yet, the 100S!
May is off to an equally busy start, as Quin is presently in Montenegro and though the weather was looking bleak prior to his trip the images have only reflected gorgeous tranquil afternoons in the fiords in a truly breathtaking location!
The next events we will be attending is the Dubois Cup and Loro Piana event in Porto Cervo, Sardinia where we look forward to following the always exciting superyacht racing.
On May 19th the office will be celebrating Quin’s birthday in the South of France so will be taking the weekend to enjoy some down time!
For more information about our latest whereabouts you can find us on Facebook and thank you for following our bog, we hope to catch up with you soon.
It is with great pain that dear friend, master photographer, and inspiration Marc Paris was tragically taken in a fatal plane crash while shooting in Turkey. Marc was a wonderfully generous man who inspired, educated and promoted artists of all kinds. He was the founder of FAB Studio in Nice, France, which provided a workspace for artists to collaborate, exhibit and promote their skills. He operated at a million miles a minute delivering cover shots of yachts to magazines worldwide, designing brochures for the top brokerages in Monaco and graciously offered those around him with lessons about print, editing, design and life. Marc would work 23.5 hours a day but always made time for friends and was prompt to offer his assistance when called upon. Quin and I arrived in Nice upon invitation from Marc to be evolved in branching the studio into video and managing the studios growing organization. Later Marc inspired us to create Q&K and continued to work closely with FAB Studio. As a friend and an amazing mentor Marc Paris will be missed.
This weekend FAB Studio will be hosting an Open House from noon – 9pm at 12 Rue Bavastro, Nice 06300 for all who would like to stop by and pay their respects to his great accomplishments.
While the charter season gets underway in the Caribbean, brokers and yachts from around the world have gathered in beautiful English and Falmouth Harbour Marinas to provide an excellent showcase of luxury and expedition yachts. Amongst the excitement of the show, Quin has enjoyed shooting here with FAB Studio and Marc Paris as Antigua offers a unique blend of superb light, pristine coastline, mountainous backdrop and crystal blue waters to use as his canvas. It is a treat to shoot here however it is the phenomenal assistance of the captains and their crews that make it possible for us to provide marketing materials for these magnificent yachts looking their finest. Thank you to FAB Studio all the brokers, captains and your crews for making this event such a success!
METS is the largest exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for those in the marine leisure industry. The event is hosted from the 13- 15 of November in Amsterdam and offers a unique insight to happenings within our focused industry of yachting. Quin and Kim will be on sight for the 14th and 15th and are always eager to speak with those looking to launch their marketing campaigns or interested in us providing a more stylized approach to their marketing materials for next year.

St Tropez to Monaco on the new Infiniti 36.
Q&K take a hands on approach to understanding not only the brand but the performance and personalities associated with them. Lucky for us this includes much sailing with Infiniti Yachts! These high performance yachts are revolutionizing sailing and as they campaign Q&K are documenting the yachts events, shows and races.
The pinnacle of the Maxi racing Mediterranean season is the Rolex Maxi World Championships hosted in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. This remarkable destination is ideal for capturing dynamic images and video content. Q&K have enjoyed this annual event, covering the racing for sponsors and owners, collaborating the stories which bring yachts and sailor from around the world to compete.
