Despite the possibility of sounding repetitive I’d like to take a moment to give thanks again to couple of teams that have stood out over the past couple of shoots in being truly amazing. We get a unique perspective when we come onboard of how teams operate and it makes all the difference in our photos and videos. The captains and crews who work tirelessly whilst we are onboard to ensure every space we shoot is in perfect condition despite the early hours of which we start and into the late evenings when we wrap up. Thank you
MOGAMBO w/ Captain Phil Walsh and Beverly Walsh your endless respect and easy manner provided for amazing energy and family like atmosphere from the crew- a real treat!
UNBRIDLED w/ owner Chris and Rob Desino who together with friends and an awesome crew were fantastic models and overly accommodating to make sure we had all we needed in order to obtain the perfect shots.
CALLISTO w/ Tim Strater who not only presented the boat in pristine condition but also made sure Quin had an amazing birthday whilst shooting; complete with a 5 star chef baking him a birthday cake!
QM OF LONDON w/ Captain Craig Martin who together with his team were super well prepared, professional and great fun!
It was with great pleasure that we could not only capture photography and video of Lending Club 2’s first world record but also that Quin was able to enjoy the ride first hand as camera man and grinder. The team composed of co skippers Ryan Breymaier and Renaud Laplanche departed Cowes, UK on April 1st and arrived Dinard, France a blistering 5 hours 15 minutes and 7 seconds later! With speeds in excess of 38 knots it was not surprising that the yacht broke the previous record which had remained for over 9 years! We look forward to sharing in the teams future victories.

One of the great privileges Quin and I have from our jobs of coordinating and facilitating photo and video shoots is that we work with some of the industries best. This month we had the privilege of working along side Guillaume Plisson in order to shoot a 4K video for the 98M M/Y Kismet. Capturing this yachts exceptional attention to detail and overall beauty alongside Guillaume and his team of lighting expert Didier and camera assistant Nicoli made for a very fun and successful shoot.
As the seasons change from the Med to the Caribbean so have the offices of Q&K. Due to last years success in the South Florida market we have returned for a another winter and look forward to seeing our clients and friends at this years FLIBS. Following the show we will be shooting in Miami and Fort Lauderdale then we will proceed to Antigua for the Charter Show. Despite our busy schedule in America we are still keeping our office in the South of France and plan to return frequently throughout the winter for numerous shoots scheduled in Italy, France and Turkey.
Recently we returned to France after shooting in Montenegro with a truly great crew. We had the pleasure of working with the team of M/Y Calliope and despite weather conditions not always being great this crew worked together tirelessly to maintain the yacht in pristine condition. They were a treat to work with and we look forward to seeing this yacht and team at the Monaco Yacht Show. Thank you again for your efforts in making the shoot a great success and great fun! It is thanks to your collaborative hard-work that we were able to obtain such wonderful imagery and enjoy such a spectacular destination.
Occasionally we get to know a team so well that by the end of the shoot we are sad to say goodbye. While shooting the recently launched Long Island 85′,WindQuest we had the great fortune of not only working with the passionate builders, designers and marketing team at JFA Yachts, but also the phenomenal crew and enthusiastic owner. During the shoot it was also Quin’s birthday and everyone one went above and beyond to make it an extremely special day. Thank you all for this most memorable shoot. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
It is a rare occurrence that Q&K get to share the time spent aboard photographing, with the Brokers, Owners Representatives and/or the Marketing Directors who rely upon our images to effectively represent the yacht, and their brand. Recently, we had the privilege of shooting M/Y Checkmate and were able to work with all these passionate individuals from Northrop & Johnson. The shoot was a great success managed by Alfredo Lopez, who provided endless energy and a brilliant creative spark. We feel grateful to have shared the visions of those involved with the yachts management while adding our own personality to each frame. A massive thank you to everyone involved for their tireless efforts in making the shoot a wonderful success!
It has been a successful start to the year as we finished multiple shoots for superyachts on location in the United States and the Caribbean. We always enjoy the rush from working with such professional captains and their crews as they strive to assist us making their images stand out. Since the start of the year we have also been notified that our images were chosen to feature on covers of such major publications as; SuperSail World, ShowBoats International and SuperYacht World which is a great honor. We look forward to continuing this success and thank you for following us!
The Antigua Charter Show is always one of our favorite opportunities to connect with industry professionals and this year was no exception. The show hosts an array of the most beautiful charter super yachts presently in the Caribbean and nightly yacht hops to enjoy their hospitality. Q&K were fortunate to be able to attend and were kindly hosted by Paul Deeth at the historic Gunpowder House which is in its final stages of completion. The structure originally built to house Gunpowder for the tall ships and nearby forts has now been converted into a stunning boutique hotel featuring a fine art gallery, spa and infinity pool overlooking the Admirals Inn. Thank you Paul and Bee for your incredible hospitality and we can’t wait to return in January when the restoration is complete.
Few memories photographers capture are as sacred as the bond marriage and Q&K were honored to capture these moments with dear Canadian friends Steve and Jess. The two met in Nicaragua and returned to the location with family and friends to tie the knot. The remote destination provided stunning backdrops, vibrant with color and bursting with energy matching both personalities to a tee. We were honored to share this moment with them and wish the newly wed couple a phenomenal honeymoon, can’t wait to see you both again soon!
